Pointe aux Biches Hotel Mauritius
The Pointe aux Biches hotel provides an opportunity to enjoy the open air in the unpolluted tropical surroundings. The pleasures of a holiday like sleeping, dreaming, dining, reading and playing can be enjoyed here. In this hotel, fine golden beach sand and lush green surroundings are well blended.
This hotel exists on the North West beach between Trou Aux Biches and Pointe aux Piments. It is only a couple of minutes away from the busy town of Grand Bay. The distance from Grand Bay is 7 km. The capital city Port Louis is about 15 km away. The airport Plaisance is at a distance of 45 km.
There are 115 rooms having a balcony or a terrace. The rooms are totally air-conditioned and have television, telephone, mini-bar, radio bathroom with shower and safe. The furniture in these rooms is made of teak, cane and pine. Such a natural and earthy decoration makes these rooms very comfortable. These natural materials have colors of beige and brown and this gives a soothing feeling. There is one room specially made for accommodating a disabled person. There are 44 family rooms. These have a surface area of 43sq.m with annexed room. In each of these rooms, there is place for 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children + 1 baby. There are 71 standard rooms. These have a surface area of 33sq.m; each of these can be occupied by 2 adults and a baby.
The restaurant is close to the sea and coral reef. Delightful Mauritian food is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet style. The bar is open from 10 am to midnight. Tropical cocktails are served on a deck near the lagoon. From November 2007 onwards, the hotel would be providing a new barefoot bar and a 60 seat grill specialty restaurant. The Pointe aux Biches hotel offers an all inclusive formula. This has daily breakfast buffet and daily dinner (buffet or menu) at the main restaurant + daily lunch (snack, menu or buffet) + afternoon tea/coffee + soft drinks + juice + mineral water + local beer and locally bottled spirits and house wine and selected cocktails from 11 hours to midnight.
There is a seven colors wellness spa that has one single and one double room. For kids from 4 to 12 years there is a ‘Timomo’ mini-club. If requested, a baby-sitting service is provided. Other activities at this hotel are beach volley, French bowling, water polo, aqua gym, night entertainment, themed evenings, car and bicycle rental, excursion and massage kiosks in the garden. There is a games room where electronic games can be played. There are facilities to play billiards and darts. There exists an old swimming pool and an additional pool. A gymnasium has also been built.
